Former Commune Hotels Co-Founder debuts new brand

Sixty HotelThompson Hotels?Co-Founder Jason Pomeranc is introducing Sixty Hotels, which is a part of his new hospitality company, Sixty Collective. He is unveiling the boutique brand with his brothers Michael and Larry Pomeranc, along with former?Commune Hotels?CEO Stephen Brandman.

Two years ago, the Pomerancs combined Thompson withJoie de Vivre Hotels?and Geolo Capital, John Pritzker?s private equity firm, to?create Commune Hotels & Resorts. Jason Pomeranc served as co-chair of Commune for two years, before selling the Thompson brand to Commune earlier this year. The Pomerancs kept four properties, which are the Sixty Hotels? properties.

Hotels will include 60 Thompson, Thompson Lower East Side, 6 Columbus in New York, and Thompson Beverly Hills. Each property will be reflagged in January.
