Dubai: The 14th edition of The Hotel Show, a hospitality and supplies event, will open on Saturday at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Industry leaders and exhibitors from the hospitality and tourism industries will gather at the three-day event, which runs until Monday.
There will be 560 exhibitors, which is 200 more than in 2012.
?I think the industry is more buoyant that it was last year,? said Christine Davidson, exhibition director at DMG Events, the organiser of The Hotel Show.
A variety of products and services will be on show, including hotel operating equipment and supplies, furniture and furnishing, in-room entertainment, and landscaping services, among others.
There will be 13 country pavilions, five of which are new this year, including India, the US, Austria, Belgium and the Philippines. Some of the exhibitors will make product launches, ranging from interactive coffee tables to Moroccan furniture.
Meanwhile, the Vision Conference will have discussions covering a range of topics, including digital technologies to improve business, the collaboration of the hospitality industry to achieve tourism objectives, hotel security, as well as hotel revenue management, among several others.
This year?s show will also have a feature called The Hotel Show Career Zone. Hotels will provide career opportunities for hotel and hospitality professionals.
