West Jet airline?s custom-painted ?magic plane? took its inaugural flight Tuesday from?Calgary, Alberta, to Orlando, Fla. The Canadian airline and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts have been partners since 2004.?Marlie Morrison, managing director, marketing & sales, The Walt Disney Company Canada, called the Magic Plane ?a ?true collaboration.?
Besides the iconic character on the plane?s exterior, customers will be treated to cookies in the shapes of Disney characters while on board. ?Over the next five years, the Magic Plane will fly more than 400,000 guests.
WestJet serves Orlando with 30 flights per week.
