The third?Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific?conference and exhibition, opening tomorrow (Oct. 9) is attracting 19 percent more delegates than the 2012 edition of the conference, based on pre-registration numbers.
In 2012, the show nearly doubled total attendance of the 2011 show. The trade show floor has also increased. International exhibitors purchased nearly 20 percent more exhibit stand space than they did in 2012. The show begins with a session themed State of the Cruise Industry in Asia plenary session. The conference will evaluate ?the pace and direction of growth in the world’s newest and fastest emerging cruise market.?
Regional and international experts will also address: The Next Step forward; Cruise Operations in Asian Waters; Building Asian Source Markets and Cruise Ship Terminal Development and more. Speakers include Michael Bayley, president & CEO, Celebrity Cruises; Christine Duffy, president & CEO, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA); Pier Luigi Foschi, chairman & CEO, Carnival Asia; and Michael Gof senior vice president sales, Star Cruises.
The Singapore show, presented in partnership with Seatrade, takes place at the Marina Bay Sands and brings together national tourism organizations and companies from the information and technology, ship equipment, safety, security, crew management and hotel operations categories.
