Singapore Airlines planning to operate more flights to India

Realising the potential of the market, Singapore Airlines yesterday said it is considering adding more flights on its India network, as per The Hindu Business Line report. Subject to regulatory approvals, the airline is planning to use its subsidiary, Silk Air, to launch flights to cities in North India.

Mak Swee Wah, Executive Vice-President, Commercial, Singapore Airlines, said, ?We will add capacity into the Indian market. Markets are increasingly witnessing competition. We intend to have a good position with both products and services.? Currently, Silk Air operates 42 flights a week to eight destinations in India.
