US Airways Reports Record January Load Factor

TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ –US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE: LCC) today announced January 2013 traffic results. Mainline revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 4.9 billion, up 4.8 percent versus January 2012. Mainline capacity was 6.0 billion available seat miles (ASMs), up 1.8 percent versus January 2012. Mainline passenger load factor was a record 81.1 percent for the month of January, up 2.3 points versus January 2012.

For the month of January, US Airways’ preliminary on-time performance as reported to the U.S. Department of Transportation was 83.0 percent with a completion factor of 99.2 percent.
