What screams summer more than ripe juicy fruit?
OK, maybe 100 degree sunny days, but besides that? Wandering the farmers market with the sun beating down on the pavement the last few weeks has really let me know that summer is here! It started with the fresh cherries from Marc and his turquoise truck, yum!
Then the peaches from Gayle, and most recently and surprisingly early (it seems) melon! Now here is our challenge, put this beautiful summer produce on a plate and pair them with wine, making both fruits, whether fresh, pickled, or fermented, shine.
So let the brainstorming and recipe testing begin!
