Wyndham Hotel Group has signed a management agreement with British-owned developer The First Group’s subsidiary Omega I to build the first TRYP by Wyndham hotel in the Middle East.
The 672-room TRYP by Wyndham Dubai will be developed in the city’s TECOM district and its addition will allow Wyndham to offer a better choice of hotel experiences and price points to travellers in the Middle East.
Recently, the company also announced plans to introduce the iconic Super 8 economy brand to Saudi Arabia.
Wyndham Hotel Group senior vice president and managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa Rui Barros said the group has a diverse portfolio of brands and offers a unique breadth of choice and the benefits of Wyndham Rewards.
“We are thrilled to deliver these hotels through strong partnerships with companies such as The First Group, which share our ambition and passion for creating great guest experiences for business and leisure travellers around the world,” Barros added.
The TRYP by Wyndham Dubai will be located in the heart of the Al Barsha South business district and will offer amenities such as meeting space, a spa and gymnasium.
A range of food and beverage outlets including all-day dining and speciality restaurants, as well as a coffee shop, lounge area and bar will also be available.
The hotel, which will be managed by Wyndham Hotel Group (UK), or one of its affiliates, will add to the company’s portfolio of managed hotels globally.
With construction already underway, the hotel is scheduled to open in late 2016.
