Following on from his recent article ?How your hotel can reach Pinterest?s 25 million users?, social media expert Martin Kubler offers some examples of hotels and restaurants leading the way on the online pinboard.
1?Crowne Plaza Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road
A very nice collection of boards ranging from hotel marketing-related pins to events, staff achievements and local tourist information. The hotel has also integrated Pinterest into its Facebook page.
2 Towers Rotana
I like these boards, because they strike a nice balance between hotel-related marketing content and genuinely useful content like city information, travel tips, and even a CSR board. Bonus points for integrating Pinterest into their?Facebook page
3?Holiday Inn Al Barsha
One of the city?s early adopters of social media, the Holiday Inn Al Barsha hotel has a few nice boards, including some which showcase events and outstanding associates. No bonus points here, as the hotel?s Facebook page appears to be a Pinterest-free zone.
4?Atlantis, The Palm
So the Atlantis may have recently unfollowed virtually all their Twitter followers for some reason best known to them, but their Pinterest boards are nevertheless well put together, colourful, and make you want to experience the hotel.
5?Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah
It looks like this is a work in progress as there is currently an empty board named ?Resort Leisure Activities?, but otherwise, this is a nice collection of visually appealing boards ? including a dedicated board for celebrity sightings!
