Volunteering in the Zillertal Alps High Mountain Nature Park

Ever wanted to experience life as a farmer or ranger and become an integral part of the nature park family? The Zillertal Alps High Mountain Nature Park now offers volunteering opportunities.

The Zillertal Alps High Mountain Nature Park stretches across 379km?, reaching from 1,000m to 3,509m. As one of the most spectacular national parks in Austria, the mountains feature narrow gorges that spread into glacial valleys and their tributaries, with steep rock walls, summits and glaciers. Here you are sure to find grand views and unforgettable hiking and mountaineering adventures.

The park is constantly monitored by the federal state of Tirol, the Austrian Alpine Association, responsible communities and the tourist associations of Mayrhofen and Tux-Finkenberg. The collective aim is to preserve the natural environment of the park and support tourism within its boundaries. A wide variety of programmes are offered at the park, including guided hikes and themed walks. There are also three interesting permanent exhibitions that are very informative and fun for the whole family.

The Nature Park is now looking for those who would like to use their volunteering spirit towards the service of nature. Put your energy to a good cause: volunteer and spend a few days of your holidays at the Nature Park and help with the daily tasks. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to come face to face with Austria?s scenic beauty at its most imposing whilst contributing to the preservation of the area at the same time.

Protected Forest Project in Ginzling
