Talent Plus Becomes Newest Partner of Cornell Center for Hospitality Research

Ithaca, NY, April 10, 2014 – Talent Plus, Inc., an international firm dedicated to identifying top leadership potential, has become a partner of the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR). As a partner, Talent Plus will help support and guide the center’s research agenda, as well as participate in the CHR’s Advisory Board. Joining the board will be Kimberly Rath, founder and chairman.

“I’m delighted that Talent Plus has become a CHR partner,” said Michael Sturman, associate dean for faculty development at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration and academic director of the CHR. “Human resources is a critical area in the hospitality industry, and leadership development is of particular interest. We welcome Kimberly Rath’s insight and contributions in these areas.”

Rath explained that the Talent Plus focus on leadership is based on the original research of Dr. William E. Hall, who developed structured interview approaches that surface talent and identify top leaders. She added: “We are scientifically able to identify people with the potential for near perfect performance so clients can make wise decisions in the selection and development of their teams. At Talent Plus we get excited about identifying talent and transforming lives.”

The CHR’s Partners and Friends create a strong framework for the center, which is now in its 21st year of operation. The CHR sponsors and publishes research reports by faculty at Cornell and other universities. Thanks to its Partners, CHR is able to take the unusual approach of distributing the findings at no charge.
