Rosewood Sanya to open 2017

Hospitality News: Rosewood HotelsRosewood Hotels & Resorts??has been appointed by Poly Real Estate Group to manage Rosewood Sanya, scheduled to open 2017. It is the third Rosewood property to be announced in mainland China following Rosewood Beijing (opening Spring 2014) and Rosewood Chongqing (opening 2015.) The property will join an exclusive group of Rosewood resorts located across the Caribbean and Atlantic, United States and Mexico, and upcoming in Thailand and Indonesia.

Rosewood Sanya will be located in the newest development in the destination, at Haitang Bay in southern Hainan Island. The property will be designed as an exclusive sanctuary within the integrated resort surrounding the International Finance Forum convention center, Sanya?s largest such facility, opening 2015.

From a dedicated ground floor entry, guests will take an express elevator to a private lobby lounge offering wide Haitang Bay vistas. Occupying 14 floors of an oceanfront building, Rosewood Sanya will feature 229 guestrooms which, at a minimum of 65 square meters (700 square feet), will be amongst the largest in Sanya. All hotel accommodations will be ocean-facing and one-third will include balcony plunge pools. Also on offer will be 61 residential villas amidst the 16-hectare resort?s landscaped gardens.

A dramatic 103-meter (337-foot), infinity-edge ?sky pool? on the 13th floor will offer a serene private space to enjoy panoramic South China Sea views, or guests may opt for the resort?s 130-meter (426-foot) swimming pool which will cascade to the edge of an expansive private beach.

Rosewood Sanya will offer five restaurants: an all-day dining, lobby lounge, a poolside caf?, an indoor/outdoor market-style seafood restaurant and a beachside restaurant and bar. Facilities will include Rosewood?s signature Sense??spa, a fitness center and The Pavilion residential-style meeting and function space.

Project consultants include Chicago-based architectural firm Goettsch, Hong Kong-based AB Concept for interior design and Bangkok-based P Landscape for the grounds.
