Hospitality News: RotanaNewly appointed chief executive Omer Kaddouri is continuing his residency with Rotana?s aggressive expansion plans, which are reflected in the development of six new properties, totalling over 1,400 rooms, due to open in 2014.

Expanding its global presence, Rotana is not only opening new hotels but expanding into new countries with the opening of the hotel group?s first properties in Oman, Afghanistan and Turkey.

With a vision of 100 hotels by 2020, Rotana is making strong headway towards reaching this target.

Kaddouri commented: ?The extension of the Rotana brand into new markets represents a key milestone and important achievement for the group.

?With a carefully considered international development strategy in place, we are constantly looking for growth opportunities and both Afghanistan and Turkey presented opportunities for Rotana to extend our award-winning hospitality offering.

In particular, a breakthrough into Turkey is a significant landmark for Rotana as this is a new territory in which we will be introducing the values that are essential in making us the leading hotel management company in the Middle East.?

Salalah Rotana Resort, Oman

Salalah Rotana Resort features 399 stunning rooms and suites that are beautifully built around lagoons, water features and man-made canals.

The upscale hotel?s Arabesque architecture features a series of clusters surrounding the main building, which houses major public facilities and amenities.

Scheduled to be inaugurated in March 2014, Salalah Rotana Resort features a wide variety of food and beverage venues including a lobby lounge caf?, an all-day dining, a specialty restaurant, beach restaurant and pool bar.
