Though Sheraton was the first international hotelier to set up shop in the People?s Republic with the Great Wall Sheraton in 1985, Hilton understands China as well as anyone in the market.

In 1988, Hilton Worldwide first entered China and now operates 30 hotels. The company plans to expand to more than 150 properties over the next few years with more than 120 projects in the pipeline under the Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands.

And there?s no slowing down. Hilton?s latest three Chinese properties all opened in December.

The new 301-room DoubleTree by Hilton opened in the Jiangsu Province jewel of Suzhou not far from Shanghai.

Suzhou?s DoubleTree by Hilton Anhui-Suzhou is located to capitalize the city?s Bianhe New Developing Zone and the city?s strong collection of attractions including the Grand Canal, the popular Silk outlets and the incredible classic Garden of the Humble Administrator.

The hotel has five restaurants serving both Chinese and international foods as well as the city?s largest meeting facilities.

The new 323-room Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai is located in Shenzhen?s business district. The hotel has 16 suites, six restaurants and 2,900 square meters of meeting space, including the 1,260 square meter pillar-free SeaWorld Grand Ballroom.

Designed to resemble the sail of a ship overlooking the Shenzhen Bay, the hotel faces the bay to the west, Pearl River Estuary to the east and Hong Kong across the sea.
