Today is World Sauntering Day, a tradition credited to W.T. Rabe walking the long porch at the The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, in response to jogging.

His son John is reported as as recalling that his hather would say: “Sauntering, as my father would say, is going from point X to point Z which means you don’t care where you’re going, how you’re going or when you might get there. The idea he said was to smell the roses and to pay attention to the world around you.”

The entire team at Hospitality Leaders wishes you a Happy Sauntering Day and invites you to take a quiet moment to slow down and consider the many blessing of life.
