Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group signs the first four?Radisson RED?hotels in the Americas: Radisson RED Bogota, Colombia; Radisson RED Cali, Colombia; Radisson RED Campinas, Brazil; and the Radisson RED Minneapolis Downtown.
Carlson Rezidor plans to open 60 Radisson RED hotels globally by 2020. The other locations currently under development include Brussels, Capetown, Glasgow and Shenyang, China.
?RED has already garnered strong interest and development momentum in Asia Pacific and in Europe, so we are very excited to announce our first hotels in the Americas,? says Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Americas, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
?We see opportunity for Radisson RED in a segment we have termed ?lifestyle select? that strives to create a uniquely engaging, personalised guest experience.?
The brand is aimed at ?tech-savvy guests with an ageless millennial mind-set by offering a non-traditional stay experience?.
The group says this new hotel concept combines work and play and is inspired by design, art, music and fashion. At the same time, it offers developers and property owners a lower per key cost than a traditional upscale hotel through a multi-functional approach and more efficient space planning, which significantly reduce construction and operating costs while driving higher margins.
