Hilton Worldwide closed the month of June with an impressive haul of prestigious accolades, awarded in recognition of the Group’s status as an employer of choice and its respected hotel brands, which have a strong and growing presence in the Greater China and Mongolia region.
“We are proud to have garnered strong third-party recognition of our success in delivering the best experiences to our guests and the best careers and rewards to our team members,” said Bruce McKenzie, senior vice president, operations, Greater China & Mongolia, Hilton Worldwide. “We believe that team members are the key to providing an outstanding hospitality experience and that is why we remain committed to recruiting top talents, empowering them and retaining them, as we continue to strengthen our industry leadership.”
Hilton Worldwide was honored with the award for Best International Hotel Group, presented by LifeStyle Magazine, at the 6th Annual China Hotel Awards in Beijing. The award recognizes Hilton Worldwide’s contribution to China’s hospitality landscape over the last quarter of a century, through its renowned brands, world-class service and spirit of innovation. The coveted China Hotel Awards include 12 categories and are aimed at promoting the development of the hospitality industry by showcasing the best that the industry has to offer, including the top hotel brands and companies.
Hilton Worldwide was also recognized as the Best International Hotel Group of the Year by Travel Weekly China at the China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards, which recognize the best enterprises in China’s travel, meeting and incentive industry. Since their debut in 2002, these awards have gained recognition across the industry for fairness and transparency. In determining the winners, submissions from the companies, votes from readers and the evaluations of an independent panel of experts who are respected professionals from the travel and MICE industry, are all taken into account.
In addition, Hilton Worldwide has been hailed by Universum as one of China’s Most Attractive Employers for the fourth consecutive year, as well as the Tourism Industry’s #1 Employer for the second year running. The rankings were determined following a survey, held annually in China since 2006, which saw the participation of over 55,000 university students from 109 top universities this year. The survey revealed that China’s future leaders associate Hilton Worldwide with client and workplace diversity, customer focus, opportunities for international travel and relocation, and leadership opportunities.
Hilton Worldwide was also included in the Best Companies to Work in Greater China 2015 list by Great Place to Work, a global research and consulting firm that identifies the best workplaces using a unique methodology that includes an employee survey and an in-depth management questionnaire on the company’s programs and practices.
