Kong citizens travelled more in 2015, with recent figures and surveys showing the trend will continue into 2016.
Outbound 2015: Hong Kong citizens made a total of 89.1 million departures in 2015, up 5.4 percent. Outbound tours business grew by 7.9 percent.
Figures show that Hong Kong tourists are willing to pay more for better services and travel experiences with deluxe tours during Christmas and Chinese New Year costing on average 6 percent more than previous years.
