In the wake of the battle between Marriott International and China’s Anbang Insurance Group to acquire Starwood, The Associated Press put out an informative snapshot of which hotel companies own what brands.
It says “a handful of companies hold the keys to millions of hotel rooms globally, but the list of hotel brands that those companies own is legion”.
Here’s its brief rundown, in order of total rooms controlled, of who owns what.
