Movenpick to open flagship hotel in Marrakech – New top hotel jobs of Swiss hotel chain

Movenpick Palais de Congres MarrakechNew jobs in a luxury hotel by Movenpick – In Marrakech, the 503-key Mansour Eddabhi has been opened. More than 100 million USD has been invested in restoration and development of new facilities, i.e. five restaurants and a rooftop lounge bar, two-levelled spa, four pools and meeting rooms.

Another new Movenpick hotel is the 228-key City Star in Jeddah, Saudi-Arabia. There are three restaurants from which to choose, including all-day dining outlet Al Deira, the glamorous Al Moltaqa Café, and Al Zohoor Garden located next to the rooftop pool.

The hotel group expand international with several development projects. In Stuttgart, Germany a second business hotel at the airport with 262 rooms is under development for opening in 2019. The Swiss hotel company recently signed a third hotel in Bangladesh, in the city of Khulna, to further increase its presence in the flourishing South Asian destination. Located near the national cricket stadium “Sheikh Abu Naser” and the UNESCO World Heritage site “Sudarbans”, and designed by Sthapona Architects Consultants, Movenpick Hotel Khulna is set to open in Q1 2019, with 240 rooms and five food and beverage outlets – an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a coffee shop and lobby bar and a rooftop restaurant and bar.

And in Thailand they signed an agreement with leading real estate developer Nusasiri Plc to manage three properties. The three properties will be Movenpick Residences Ekkamai, Bangkok and Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai, both scheduled to open in Q4 2016, and Movenpick Resort Mai Khao Phuket which will open in Q4 2017.

Movenpick Hotels & Resorts currently has eight hotels in operation in Asia, four of which are in Thailand, its largest market in the region. The Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok and the 260-room Mövenpick Siam Hotel Pattaya are the latest additions to the group’s burgeoning portfolio in the region. Movenpick Resort & Spa Boracay will open this year, followed by Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali in early 2017. The Swiss-hotel management company is focused on accelerated regional growth, with the company vision to manage over 30 hotels in Asia by 2020.
