Thousands of new hotel jobs – Germany’s hotel business is booming

The hotel market Germany is still booming. More than 320 new developed hotels will be opened within the next five years. Even in the Capital of Berlin, nearly 30 new hotels are und development. The World’s largest Hampton by Hilton hotel – with 344 guest rooms – is under construction near the central Alexanderplatz. Budget chain Motel One develops a 582-key hotel tower with Skybar in the city centre of Western Berlin.

Latest hotel openings are the Moxy at the train station East Berlin (210 rooms), the third of the lifestyle hotel concept of Marriott. Vienna House started the brand-new Easy (152 rooms) concept not far away.

Private held Novum Group develops two IHG-franchised hotels in Frankfurt, a Indigo am the first Staybridge Suites serviced apartment house in Germany. The franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group is signed for 20 hotels across Europe.

China’s hotel primus Plateno Group develops two hotel of it’s low-budget concept 7 Days in Munich and at the airport of Leipzig.

The increasing number of overnight stays of foreign visitors (+4%) is a next effort for hotel operators to hire new staff members.

With strong economical development, Germany is still interesting for hotel workers with international language skills, i.e. English and Mandarin.
