Westin Hotels & Resorts will “celebrate the power of snooze” on World Sleep Day in partnership with World Sleep Society in Asia Pacific.
It says the partnership reinforces the brand’s “renowned position for offering a quality night’s sleep on the road, at home and in the air”.
Additionally, about 50 Westin hotels and resorts across key locations in Asia Pacific will hold a series of activities and events on World Sleep Day today to reinforce the brand’s Sleep Well pillar.
“For the first time, we have partnered with one of the leaders in the hospitality industry,” said Allan O’Bryan, executive director of World Sleep Society. “We believe that good sleep is a reachable dream – and sleep, along with balanced diet and regular exercise are key to good health.
“This is in line with the Westin brand’s values and we are confident that the partnership is off to a great start.”
World Sleep Day is an annual event created by the World Sleep Society to raise awareness of sleep disorders and the burden that they place on society.
In partnership with World Sleep Society, Westin hotels and resorts across Asia Pacific will be out in full force to deliver specially customized Sleep Kits to various professions. They contain items including a travel-sized Heavenly Pillow, chamomile tea and Westin’s signature white tea bath amenities, as well as a Sleep Well guidebook containing tips from Westin’s well-being brand advocates.
Additionally, major events will take place across key cities in Australia, China, India, Japan and Thailand. These events include Heavenly Bed pop-ups in malls where guests can experience the bed, national surveys on the theme of sleep, and public and internal associate talks emphasising the importance of quality sleep.
“Westin is committed to ensuring that our guests leave feeling better than they first arrived, and sleep plays a large part of it,” said Vincent Ong, senior director, brand management, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific.
“Partnering with World Sleep Day serves to complement the brand’s Sleep Well pillar and restorative programmes that promote quality sleep, reinforcing Westin as the travel industry leader in promoting the essential foundation of well-being – sleep.”
