The Indian born hospitality leading director will resign as CEO of German Deutsche Hospitality (brands Steigenberger, InterCity resorts and Jaz) finish of this year. Following five years leading the conventional German hotel set Steigenberger Hotels AG – today possessed by Egyptian travel conglomerate Travco – and 30 years working at the European hospitality sector i.e. for Rezidor, Mr Chhatwal will go back to his origins in India.
The charismatic and five languages talking top director transformed the Steigenberger team into an global firm expanding with its own mid-scale business hotel concept InterCity into the Middle East and East Asia. The most recent brand Jaz is created for the millennials and succeeds using a primary boutique hotel in Amsterdam and also another job in Stuttgart, Germany.
