Singapore – 11 October 2017 –
In conjunction with World Food Day, a global day of action against hunger, Pan Pacific Hotels Group has partnered Singapore’s People’s Association to reach out to more than 1,700 low-income households island-wide with food bundles of locally grown produce.
As part of Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s Eat Well Do Good initiative, a food donation drive was conducted across five Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL hotels for a month, with close to S$35,000 raised to purchase food bundles for a total of 1,722 families.
Each food bundle, worth S$37.50, contained healthy ingredients rarely received by beneficiaries in typical food donation drives. Comprising locally-grown high quality produce including barramundi fish, green leafy vegetables and eggs, each food bundle was accompanied by a Japanese saucepan and recipes designed by the group’s culinary team.
