Rezidor suffers due to terror attacks – drop in revenue and sales

Wolfgang M. Neumann

Brussels, 11 February 2017 –
Wolfgang M. Neumann is in dire straits: the CEO of the Rezidor Hotel Group is battling with dramatic sales losses after the terror attacks. In 2016, sales decreased to 961.2 million Euros (Previous year: 997 m. €), the EBIT to 3.0 million Euros (57,3) and the profit to 26.4 million Euros (34,2). This is what the presently published annual key figures say.

However, the hotel group, which mainly belongs to the Chinese HNA Group (51,3%), further expands: 45 new hotels (8,200 rooms) were opened last year – with a particular emphasis on Africa (Marocco, Gold Coast, Togo und Rwanda).

HNA now wants to take over the whole Rezidor Group.
