Hong Kong – 30 January 2018 –
The possibilities are overwhelming: Blockchain must not be misunderstood as a mere synonym for cryptographic currencies. The application possibilities for forgery-proof IT processes, including in recruiting, are a fundamental innovation. The world’s leading career network Hospitality Leaders (www.hospitality.pro) is now relying on a new block-chain-based server architecture.
All work steps and contents are stored in encrypted form as a chain of data records on different servers, making them virtually forgery-proof. The data cannot be subsequently changed and is only available to authorized persons. Similar to health insurance companies, where sensitive patient data is used in the blockchain, this also represents a new milestone for recruiting in terms of data protection and security. State-of-the-art requirements such as the Basic Data Protection Ordinance in Europe – which will apply from 28 May 2018 – are thus more than met.
Especially when exchanging highly personal information such as contract details, salary data or information on illnesses, the data records are exchanged separately and securely using blockchain. Hospitality Leaders is now planning to set up an international blockchain for its own recruiting tool “Talent Management & Recruiting” (TMR, www.hospitality.pro/recruitment). Later on, the Blockchain will also be made available to partners from the international hotel industry. The Career Network is regarded as a pioneer in an innovative one-click application and efficient candidate management with a specially developed SaaS solution.
According to recognized IT experts, blockchains will be used this year as a decentralized database in various industries for basic applications. For example, rentals in the sharing economy are automated: A room/apartment door is opened by digital code when the agreed payment has arrived in the blockchain at the beginning of the rental period. This could also be used for hotel check-in via Smartphone or the rental or exchange of vehicles.
