Outrigger Enterprises Group fills two key Sales & Marketing positions

HONOLULU -Outrigger Enterprises Group is pleased to announce the appointment of two key sales and marketing positions. Roy Cordeiro has been named director of sales and marketing for The Wyland Waikiki, which is being rebranded a Courtyard by Marriott this summer. The hotel will continue to be managed by Outrigger Enterprises Group. Also, after more than 10 years, Patsy Narimatsu has returned to Outrigger as director of sales and marketing for Outrigger’s Beachfront properties, the position vacated by Roy Cordeiro.

Roy Cordeiro

In his new position, Cordeiro is responsible for all sales and marketing initiatives at The Wyland Waikiki, with a top priority being the transition to the Courtyard by Marriott brand. Cordeiro, a hotel veteran with over thirty years in hospitality sales and marketing, is no stranger to the Marriot brand having previously held the position of director of sales and marketing for the Wailea Marriott, formerly the Outrigger Wailea Resort in 2001. In 2004, Cordeiro moved to Oahu to become the director of sales and marketing for Outrigger’s beachfront properties, which includes the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, Outrigger Reef on the Beach, and the Keauhou Beach Resort on Hawaii’s Big Island.

“Roy’s previous experience with the Marriot brand will be invaluable as The Wyland Waikiki transitions to the Courtyard by Marriot,” said Barry Wallace, Outrigger’s executive vice president of hospitality services. “His enthusiasm and sales and marketing expertise will soon have Marriott Rewards? program members and many others enjoying the stylishly-appointed property.”

Patsy Narimatsu

With Cordeiro’s new appointment, Patsy Narimatsu joins the Outrigger Beachfront properties as director of sales and marketing overseeing all aspects of sales and marketing initiative for the beachfront division.

Narimatsu is no stranger to Outrigger. From February 1998 to October 1999 she was part of the Outrigger sales team while based at the then Outrigger Prince Kuhio hotel. She remained with the hotel when Outrigger sold the property and it was rebranded a Radisson hotel in 1999. Over the past 11 years, Narimatsu has continued to oversee the sales efforts of the Prince Kuhio, which is now operated as the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio.

Narimatsu’s early sales career included management positions with Village Resorts, Inc., HTH Corporation, Kona Surf Resort & Country Club and Akamai Tours. Well known within Hawaii’s visitor industry, Narimatsu is a member of numerous professional organizations including Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association, Travel Women of Hawaii, American Business Women’s Association, the National Business Travel Association, and the Travel and Tourism Research Association.

“Patsy is a highly respected member of the hospitality industry and has built strong relationships with travel partners and guests,” said Kimberly Agas, vice president of operations for Outrigger’s beachfront properties. “We are pleased to have Patsy a part of the Outrigger team once again representing the Outrigger beachfront hotels.”
