Paris, 27 February 2012 ? Louvre Hotels Group announces today that Lars Backhaus is to join the Group as Chief Operating Officer Subsidiaries France.
He will join the Executive Committee and will report directly to Pierre-Fr?d?ric Roulot.
Replacing Christine de Wilde, Lars Backhaus?s mission will be to continue the optimization of the economic model of Louvre Hotels Group and to make the new hotel concepts developed by the Group reality.
His main objectives will be to improve hotel productivity, to seek out operations solutions for adapting to seasonal fluctuations and to train staff.
With more than 12 years of experience in the tourist and hotel industry across France, Germany and the UK within multinational groups, Lars Backhaus is an expert in subsidiaries management.
He spent a large part of his career at Accor, where he held management roles for Ibis hotels in Greenwich and Gatwick before being promoted to Operations Director London, UK.
From 2010 onwards, he held the position of Operations Director for Blackstone Real Estate France, an asset management and financial services company which has a portfolio of 35 hotels under the Louvre Hotels Group?s brands.
