Brian Williams is Managing Director of Swire Properties Hotel Holdings Limited.? Prior to joining The Swire Group in January 2006, Brian was Chief Executive of UK based Scotsman Hotel Group.? Before Scotsman, Brian spent 17 years with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, including postings as General Manager at the Mandarin Hong Kong, Mandarin Macau, The Ritz London and the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London as well as Group General Manager in North America.
Anthony Ross, an Australian citizen, is the General Manager of The Opposite House. Prior to joining Swire Hotels in early 2007, he developed and operated Azur, a luxury lodge in Queenstown, New Zealand and took on the role of opening General Manager of Indigo Pearl in Phuket, Thailand. Before this, he was the General Manager of The Sentosa Resort and Spa in Singapore, responsible for the rebranding and relaunch of the property. He has also spent time with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in corporate roles in Hong Kong and Monaco and nine years with Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts in Australia and Asia.
Michael Faulkner, a citizen of the UK, joined The Opposite House as Director of Sales and Marketing in August 2009. With a wealth of experience in the role, Micheal was Director of Sales and Marketing in the Park Hyatt Beijing prior to his current role and at Park Hyatt Sydney for four years, and two years at the Metropolitan in London. Michael is married and has two young children.
Alex Chen originally joined the hotel as Marketing Communications Manager but has since been promoted to Director of Sales. Alex is a graduate from the Chinese language program of Peking University and also has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from New York University. Prior to joining The Opposite House, he was the Marketing Manager for Warner China Film HG in Beijing and most recently with True Run Media, Beijing?s leading producer of English language publications. Alex also spent time in Los Angeles and gained extensive experience as a producer for the Food Network.
Enwei Lien is the Director of Guest Experience for The Opposite House. Prior to joining Swire Hotels in October 2007, he was Guest Relations Manager of The Regent Beijing. He previously spent five years in luxury hotels in New York City, including the Waldorf Astoria, The New York Palace, and The Mark, a Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Enwei is a New York University graduate with a Masters degree in Hospitality Industry Studies.
Max Levy is a native of New Orleans and was educated at the University of Colorado and The French Culinary Institute of New York City. He is The Opposite House?s Asian restaurant Chef de Cuisine. Max has studied under some of Japan?s best known sushi masters and has worked in New York City?s best sushi restaurants including Bond St., Jewel Bako, Sushi Yasuda and Megu and opened R.B.L. in Beijing. Most recently Max was at The Tasting Room in New York City.
Marino D?Antonio is the Chef de Cuisine for the Mediterranean restaurant at The Opposite House. Originally from Italy, Marino?s experience ranges from his early pastry training in Toulouse, France to Chef Patron at Ristoval sas in Sabbio Chiese, Italy to Head Chef for Silversea Cruises. Recently he?s been inspiring menus of independent establishments and was also the Chef de Cuisine for the Shangri-la in Guangzhou. He holds a diploma of Hotel Services and Kitchen Management and has training from ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine in Colorno, Italy.
Milan Sekulic, an Australian citizen, is the Restaurant and Bars Manager of The Opposite House. With 11 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, the restaurants and bars veteran overseas and manages the operations in all the R&B outlets at The Opposite House. Prior his move to Beijing, he worked in bars, clubs and restaurants, including managerial roles at top establishments like Nobu, Stokehouse, Mink and the Prince of Wales in Melbourne.
