Delta?s service will be the only scheduled nonstop flight from Fukuoka to the popular resort destination

FUKUOKA, Sept. 2, 2011 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced new nonstop seasonal service between Fukuoka, Japan, and Honolulu, beginning Dec. 28th. With this service, Delta will be the only carrier to offer scheduled nonstop flights from Fukuoka to Honolulu.
The flight will be operated using 209-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, with 35 seats in BusinessElite and 174 seats in Economy, including Delta?s new Economy Comfort section.
“Our new nonstop service from Fukuoka is Delta?s fourth Honolulu market from Japan, and further strengthen Delta?s network in Japan,? said Jeffrey Bernier, managing director ? Asia Pacific Sales and Affairs. ?Fukuoka-Honolulu will be the ninth overall resort market that Delta serves from Japan, and it underscores Delta?s ongoing commitment to our Japanese service.
