New Direct Service between Vietnam and Europe – Asia – Europe (Loop 1)

Hapag-Lloyd will be offering a weekly direct port call in Vietnam.

We would like to inform you that Hapag-Lloyd will be offering a weekly direct port call in Vietnam to the Europe – Asia Loop 1 service (LP1) providing you with a faster and direct connection between Vietnam and North Europe.


The first Loop 1 vessel calling Vietnam will be MOL Courage (voyage number 001W10), departing from Ho Chi Minh City (Vung Tau) on March 16, 2012 offering an improved transit time to and from the European direct ports of call Rotterdam, Hamburg, Southampton and Le Havre.

The weekly service will be calling the Saigon New Port Cai Mep / Tan Cang Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT), located in the Ba Ria Vung Tau province.


The Ho Chi Minh Inland Container Depots (ICD) provide a barge shuttle service from / to Tan Cang Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT). In addition a drop-off and pick-up service of laden containers is also available at the following Inland Container Depots (ICD):



  1. Tan Cang Cat Lai Terminal

  2. Tan Cang ICD

  3. Sotrans ICD

  4. Phuc Long ICD

  5. Tanamexco ICD

  6. Transimex ICD

Booking
If required, a barge service between Inland Container Depots and the TCIT will be handled as on-/pre-carriage and must be indicated at time of booking. Trucking services from / to TCIT can be provided, subject to prior booking arrangement.


Bills of Lading will be issued for the Port of Loading, Vung Tau and Inland Container Depots will be shown as Place of Receipt. 


For bookings from other Ho Chi Minh Terminals (VICT, Saigon Port / SPCT / Ben Nghe) please contact your local Hapag-Lloyd representative.


Cut-Off Time
The cut-off time for submission of complete Shipping Instruction applies as follows:



  • Documentation cut-off time: Every Tuesday at 17:00 hours

  • Terminal cut-off time for FCL container delivery (except dangerous goods as per IMO, OOG and break bulk on request only):
    Every Thursday at Tan Cang Cat Lai and ICDs at 04:00 hours
    Every Friday at Tan Cang Cat Mep International Terminal 06:00 hours

It is legally required to comply to strict documentation cut-off time for destinations in European Union. Any incomplete or late (after cut-off time) shipping instructions may result in non-acceptance of your shipment.


Shipping Instructions
In order to provide you with prompt documentation service and ensure compliance with the security requirements from the European Customs Authorities, we seek your cooperation:



  • Send complete Shipping Instructions in English

  • Encourage you to submit Electronic Shipping Instructions (e-SI) instead of manual copies

  • Provide details of every container (incl. container number and seal number)

  • Indicate the freight payer to ensure the correct invoicing

  • Submit Shipping Instructions timely (before cut-off time)
