Hard Rock Rolls Down To Bourbon Street

Brand Announces Relocation Plans for New Orleans Cafe

Orlando, Fla., April 30, 2012 – Hard Rock brings its music, memorabilia and rock ‘n’ roll flair to Bourbon Street!  Hard Rock International is pleased to announce plans to bring the brand’s one-of-a-kind blend of music, iconic memorabilia, and authentic scratch-based cuisine to the heart of The French Quarter.

The new 10,000-square foot cafe is scheduled to reopen late 2012, at 125 Bourbon St. on the corner of Bourbon and Iberville Streets in New Orleans, in the Chateau Bourbon Hotel. The new location will replace the current Hard Rock Cafe; located at 418 N. Peters St. Hard Rock has been serving New Orleans locals and visitors alike since opening its doors in 1987. The Chateau Bourbon is scheduled for re-branding as the “Hyatt French Quarter” in Mid-May.

We have enjoyed great success in New Orleans for twenty-five years and look forward to an exciting opportunity at this terrific location on Bourbon Street,” said Michael Kneidinger, Vice President of Company Operations for Hard Rock International. “Fans can expect a New Orleans-sized party, and maybe even a memorabilia parade down Bourbon Street, when we christen this amazing new location.”

Hard Rock will offer New Orleans locals and guests an experience fit for a rock star in a new state-of-the-art facility showcasing Hard Rock’s new design style and latest technology. The new location will feature authentic American fare and iconic memorabilia from local artists and international legends.

The relocation of the New Orleans cafe follows a relocation model used on some of Hard Rock’s most successful properties in cities like New York, Boston, Honolulu and Los Angeles. Guests can expect a seamless transition while the cafe’s management and staff continue to provide a high-level of quality service and an overall a-list experience.

Hard Rock will lease the site from a joint venture of Carey Watermark Investors Incorporated (CWI) and partner HRI Properties, a New Orleans-based real estate development company.

Committed to supporting live music and emerging artists around the globe, Hard Rock International hosted more than 17,000 live music events worldwide in 2011. The brand continues its dedication to live music and support of up-and-coming artists in 2012 with programs like the free Hard Rock Rocks concert series and the Hard Rock Rising Battle of the Bands, providing a forum for today’s hottest new talent.
