Loews Hotels & Resorts Gets DonorsChoose.org Back to School by Fulfilling Classroom Projects That Inspire Our Guests and Bring Students a Step Closer to the Learning They Deserve
Loews Hotels & Resorts is gearing up for the 2012 academic school year with the second annual Back to School initiative in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, a not-for-profit website where public school teachers post specific educational projects for their students, and donors can choose the projects they want to support.
On Friday, August 10 each of the 16 hotels in the United States will invite guests to visit the DonorsChoose.org school desk in their lobbies to allocate the charitable funds raised by the hotel team to a classroom project the guest selects.
Loews Hotels? team members have raised funds throughout the year by organizing golf tournaments, car washes, bake sales, and making individual donations to support DonorsChoose.org. More than $160,000 will be donated over the course of the day to public schools across the country from New York City to San Diego.

In 2010, Loews Hotels & Resorts celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Good Neighbor program by partnering with DonorsChoose.org in an effort to improve public education. Last summer, through the Back to School initiative, Loews Hotel & Resorts successfully donated more than $110,000 to classrooms across the country.
