This is the first year that the Coop Rally, aimed at making Hungarian products more popular, reached Dreher Breweries’s historical brewery house. Contestants entered the beautiful building, which is decorated with Zsolnay porcelain tiles and equipped with state of the art machinery, and admired the 155-year-old traditional brewery process.
This is the first year that Dreher Breweries took part in the Coop Rally, aimed at making Hungarian products more popular. The 80-car-strong rally arrived at the brewery during the second stage of the first day.
?Producing good quality Hungarian products is our most important focus, which is why the Coop Rally’s message is close to Dreher Breweries’ values: team-work, fair competition and Hungarian values are of special importance to us. We are very pleased that there is a traditionally strong co-operation in the sector when it comes to advertising good quality Hungarian products? said Mandy Fertetics, Company Relations and Sustainable Development Manager at Dreher Breweries. She then added that ?The brewing processes and transportation department itself at Dreher Breweries employs 13,700 people and another 10,000 jobs are assured by our presence in the catering and retail sectors. We think highly of our employees and always work in teams, which is why the Coop Rally, a team game, is so close to our heart.?
During their downtime, the contestants had the chance to visit Dreher’s legendary brewery, which is located in one of the finest industrial monuments in Budapest. The Brewery House, built in 1910, has been renovated over the past 7 years to include Zsolnay porcelain tiles as well as computerised state of the art beer brewing machines, a wonderful example of successfully mixing traditional and modern technology. Contestants could also visit the Dreher Beer Museum, where they learned about the history of Hungarian beer-making from the time of the guilds through to the present day.
