The Dorchester, Dorchester Collection?s iconic London hotel, has appointed St?phane Lafon as director of food and beverage effective from 13 August 2012.
In his new role at The Dorchester, Lafon will oversee one of London?s most exciting dining destinations, with responsibility for six award-winning restaurants and bars, private and in-room dining. He will report to Roland Fasel, General Manager and Regional Director UK.
French born, Lafon has extensive food and beverage management experience within international luxury hotel environments. He joins from his most recent post as food and beverage operations manager with the Hilton Group. Prior to residing in the UK, Lafon spent over 20 years in food and beverage management roles at some of the finest luxury hotels in the United States, including Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, Ritz Carlton Palm Beach and Waldorf Astoria in New York. Lafon graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor?s in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
Having successfully managed multiple outlets with different styles of service, cuisine and banquet facilities, Lafon has demonstrated a strong track record for achieving increased industry ratings and ultimately raising the bar for unique and memorable dining experiences.
