The BHA has had a number of meetings over the past two weeks with Ministers and officials at the Environment Department and the Food Standards Agency over the presence of horsemeat in beef products and the presence of pork in Halal meat products.
In particular, we have agreed to co-ordinate information from members on the results of DNA testing of beef products and on supply chain controls.
