Even more flights this summer for Air France customers travelling to Africa

Air France’s vast network in Africa will be expanding even further as from 31 March. It will be increasing capacity to Libreville in Gabon, with a daily flight as from 31 March. It will aslo be increasing capacity by 18% to Nigeria, by operating? larger aircraft (Boeing 777-200) to Port Harcourt and Abuja.

To better meet customer demand, as from 15 April 2013, Air France will also be increasing the number of flights from 7 to10 weekly flights to Abidjan, in the Ivory Coast from the hub at Paris-CDG. With these 3 additional frequencies to Abidjan, Air France customers will now be able to choose the schedules that suit them best. Air France is also increasing capacity to Nouakchott, in Mauritania, served 4 times weekly instead of 3.

Extension in summer 2013 of the new features announced in winter 2012-13

Niamey will be served 5 times weekly instead of 4, by Airbus A340 and the Company will operate a daily service to Ouagadougou (operated 2 times weekly with non-stop flights and 5 times weekly as a continuation of the flight to Niamey).

A new latest check-in time for flights to Africa

To ensure excellence in terms of on-time performance, Air France has decided to modify its latest check-in time (latest time after which customers can no longer check in or drop off their baggage) on flights to Africa leaving from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. As from 1st March, the latest check-in time for flights leaving from Paris-CDG to Africa, except Johannesbourg and Cape Town, will be increased from H-60 minutes to H-90 minutes. This change in the latest check-in time will improve baggage performance on arrival at African stations.
