Destination Hotels & Resorts Appoints Mark Hays as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Englewood, Colo. ? April 17, 2013???Destination Hotels & Resorts?announces the appointment of Mark Hays as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. In his new role, Hays will oversee the corporate and property finance teams while managing all aspects of financial reporting for the company.

Hays, who brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, first joined Destination Hotels & Resorts in 2005, where he served as Director of Finance at The Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Denver, Colo. Soon after, he was promoted to Vice President, Regional Controller in the Destination corporate office. In 2007, Hays was promoted to Corporate Controller, where his leadership provided extraordinary support to the business in key capacity for Destination Hotels & Resorts and Lowe Enterprises.

Prior to joining the Destination team, Hays served as Corporate Controller and Regional Controller for Sage Hospitality from 2000 to 2005. Hays also held tenure as General Manger of the Embassy Suites Denver Tech Center and the Holiday Inn Garden of the Gods Colorado Springs, both Meristar Hotels, from 1995 to 2000. Hays holds an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Financial Accounting from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
