Plans have just been announced that a large?convention center?will be built in downtown?Miami. The MDM Group has a contract to purchase the land that was once occupied by the Miami Arena. The 500,000 square foot convention center will be tooped by a 1,800 room hotel and will include a 2,300 car garage, according to an article by Andres Viglucci in the May 16 Miami Herald.
