Red Lion Hotels president and CEO Jon Eliassen is retiring after less than four years on the job.
Company director and former Brand USA CEO Jim Evans will serve as interim president and CEO while the Spokane, Wash.-based company searches for a permanent replacement.
Eliassen, who had joined Red Lion?s board in 2003, became the company?s CEO in January 2010. He previously served as CFO of utilities company Avista for 16 years.
Publicly traded Red Lion has 52 hotels totaling more than 12,000 rooms, including 50 Red Lion hotels and two Leo hotels.
