Kathleen Maola Named General Manager for CA?s SpringHill Suites Oceanside Hotel to Open in Q1 2014

OCEANSIDE, Calif., Sept. 5, 2013?- The new SpringHill Suites Oceanside hotel in California and Denver-based Sage Hospitality are excited to announce Kathleen Maola as General Manager. The SpringHill Suites is set to open in early 2014 as a contemporary modern piece in Oceanside with unique amenities including a roof top pool, scenic views of the Pacific Ocean and Hello Betty, a unique fish house concept by Restaurateur, Peter Karpinski.

Maola joins top hotel investment and management group Sage Hospitality for the first time but has been a member of Marriott Hotels & Resorts for more than four years at the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Rancho Bernardo. While at the Courtyard she held both the General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing roles and led the hotel to improve revenues by effectively organizing the sales team. Maola has also held sales and service roles in Michigan, where she worked for the Sterling Inn in Sterling Heights and also Marriott International.

The SpringHill Suites in Oceanside, California is the newest all-suite hotel gracing the Southern California coast. Ideal for business and leisure travelers who look for style and inspiration in their stay, the hotel offers 149 contemporary rooms with a fresh design. The brand new building stretches five stories high with a sixth-floor roof-top swimming pool and fitness center. This addition to Sage Hospitality’s Select Service Division will continue an aggressive growth strategy set forth by the hotel management and investment company and will bring the full portfolio up to 61 hotels.
