Palace Resorts announced the promotion of Sandor Winkler to Chief Development Officer and Juan Carlos Seminario to Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing for the brand?s seven oceanfront resort properties in Cancun, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres and Riviera Maya, Mexico, as well as Le Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun.
Previously Chief Operating Officer for Palace Resorts Brands, in his new role as Chief Development Officer, Winkler will drive the brand?s growth and expansion strategies and oversee the acquisition and creation of new properties throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.
Most recently the Vice President of Sales for Canada, Europe and Asia, Seminario is now Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. His new responsibilities include overseeing the brands advertising, public relations and marketing initiatives, as well as global sales.

Exposed to the hospitality industry at a young age, Winkler serves as a seasoned veteran bringing more than a decade of experience in marketing hospitality and sales. Joining Palace Resorts in 2004, Winkler has held various managerial positions within the company before he was named Palace Resorts? director of tour services in 2009. Winkler also managed more than 1,200 employees within the company?s nine divisions including: on-site travel agency, telemarketing, palace transfers, spas and beauty salons, marina sales and operations, Wet n Wild Water Park sales and operations, GDS (Group Destination Services) and Palace Resorts promotions.? Winkler?s past marketing experience includes tenure with Creative Marketing Alliance, a full-service marketing communications and association management firm based in New York, NY, where he served as a sales executive for the South and Southwestern United States developing marketing and promotional materials, in addition to facilitating e-content management, contracting and promotions for the company.
With almost three decades of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Seminario brings goal-oriented sales experience, a deep familiarization within the market and a strong network of decision makers, tour operators and travel agents to his new position. Since joining the Palace Resorts team in 2010 as Director of Sales for Europe & Asia, Seminario has quickly climbed the ranks in various positions before taking on his new role as Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. Prior to his work with Palace Resorts, Seminario held the title of Regional Director for Jumbo Tours Group where his responsibilities included restructuring all operations within the Caribbean which led to an 83 percent increase in Dominican Republic clientele. Seminario?s other noteworthy titles include Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Valentin Imperial Maya, Senior Director of Sales and Contracting for RIU Hotels & Resorts, Corporate Director of Sales for Coral Hotels & Resorts and General Manager of Caribe Spain and Viajes Barcelo. Proficient in five languages including English, Spanish and German, Seminario is a proven team player known for his analytical problem solving skills.
