Wyndham Hotel Group brands Super 8 and Ramada are set for expansion in Brazil under separate deals being negotiated with HotelPar Holding and Vert Hot?is.

Wyndham Hotel Group, Parsippany, New Jersey, said that since agreements have not been fully executed yet, it could only confirm that deals are in the works. ?Based on our pipelines with HotelPar and Vert, we have several thousand rooms opening over the next few years,? Daniel del Olmo, senior vice president and managing director, Wyndham Hotel Group Latin America, told HOTELS Magazine at the 2013 Wyndham Hotel Group Global Conference, held this week in Las Vegas. ?Both of them are some of our most proactive partners in the region in Brazil. They have a great understanding of what the market needs and because of the fact that we are making Brazil a priority.?

HotelPar Holding, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, announced last week that it plans to add 33 Super 8-branded hotels to its pipeline, bringing its total to 85 Super 8s set to open over the next three years. The hotels will be developed by EmCorp and managed by BRAINN, both HotelPar subsidiaries.

?The announcement of these contracts further strengthens our pipeline and the value proposition of Hotelpar and its partners. In addition to improving the hotel supply in the states of S?o Paulo, Paran? and Minas Gerais, it continues the consolidation of the growth plans of the Wyndham Hotel Group to Brazil,? said Dan Fonseca, HotelPar Holdings president.

The first of these hotels is set to open in December in Lagoa Santa, Brazil. Ten more are set to open in 2014 in the Brazilian states of Minas Gerais, S?o Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro. Each of HotelPar?s Super 8s will include 100 guestrooms, feature improved interior designs to their U.S. brand counterparts and be developed under the condo-hotel model, with the company calling the chain ?the first economic 5-star hotels in Brazil.? HotelPar told HOTELS that domestic business travelers will hotels? primary customers and that ADR will range from 128 to 168 reais (US$56 to US$73).
