Greater Palms Springs, CA – September 24, 2013?- John Trudeau, recently joined Two Bunch Palms Spa Resort, the legendary adult resort and spa known for its restorative hot springs, as its General Manager. A seasoned hotelier with more than 18 years of experience, John previously served as the Hotel Manager & Director of Operations for the Noble House’s Riviera Resort in Palm Springs.
John grew up in the mid-west and graduated from Purdue University in 1993 with a degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. He spent the next 4 years fulfilling his passion for cooking and working in various kitchens as he worked his way up to becoming a chef. In 1997, he formalized his culinary training at Johnson and Wales University. After a culinary externship under the tutelage of acclaimed chef Daniel Bruce at the Rowes Wharf Restaurant, he developed his food and beverage career with the Marriott until he joined Noble House in 2006. Trudeau is also owner and principal consultant for DJR Restaurant, which develops restaurant concepts and assists in start-ups.
In his new position, John will report to recently appointed CEO Kevin Kelly and is tasked with building and leading the newly formed management team into the next phase of growth for the property. Two Bunch Palms will reopen after a month long closure on October 3, 2013. Essense Restaurant (formerly known as the Casino Restaurant) which has been renovated by world acclaimed interior designer, Gulla Jonsdottir and will present a healthier farm to table menu when it has its soft opening in October. The Yoga Dome, a 3000 square foot earth-mound passive solar kiva which has never been in use since it was built in 2007, will serve as the centerpiece of the resort’s yoga, tai-chi and movement classes. Guests will also be returning to enjoy a newly refurbished Grotto area, complete with a fitness room and day lounge for local spa customers.
