Pan Pacific Hotels Group announces General Managers’ appointments across Asia Pacific and North America

Singapore, 30 May 2013 ? Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced movements within its hotel and serviced suites leadership teams across eight of its properties in Asia Pacific and North America.

AUSTRALIA

Michael Johnson?is the new General Manager of the 196-room?PARKROYAL Parramatta?in Western Sydney, Moving from his previous role as General Manager of PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport, Michael is originally from Sydney and brings with him close to 30 years of industry experience managing business hotels, resorts and tourist attractions in New Zealand and Australia.

SINGAPORE

After a successful tenure as General Manager of PARKROYAL Parramatta,?David Donald?has assumed the position of General Manager at?PARKROYAL on Beach Road?in Singapore. Having spent most of his 20-year hospitality career across Australia and New Zealand working in the areas of Operations, Rooms Division and Revenue as well as managing business hotels, David will bring with him a fresh management perspective to his first appointment in Asia to drive a new phase of growth at the hotel.

 

Andrew Yee, Resident Manager of?Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard, Singapore, has been promoted to General Manager of the 126-unit property. Andrew has been with Pan Pacific Hotels Group for over a decade, starting out as Resident Manager of PARKROYAL Serviced Suites, Singapore. Andrew was an integral part of the pre-opening team for Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard, Singapore before becoming its Resident Manager last year. In his new role, Andrew will continue to spearhead and implement strategies to deliver product and service excellence.

MALAYSIA

Mark Losi?moves from his position as General Manager of PARKROYAL on Beach Road in Singapore to become General Manager of the 426-room?PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur. No stranger to Malaysia, Mark had previously helmed PARKROYAL Penang Resort prior to his move to Singapore. Known for his drive for performance excellence and personable leadership style, Mark has close to 20 years of hotel management experience in Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.

 

Sharmini Moganasundram?has been promoted to General Manager of?the 287-unitPARKROYAL Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur?from Hotel Manager of PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur. Another hospitality veteran who has been with Pan Pacific Hotels Group for some 20 years, Sharmini?s passion for the industry has seen her undertake supervisory responsibilities in Housekeeping, Front Office and Rooms Operations at Pan Pacific hotels and established business hotels in Malaysia, Singapore and Switzerland. Sharmini?s new appointment will leverage her extensive hotel experience to enhance performance at the serviced suites.

CANADA

A long-serving associate with Pan Pacific Hotels Group for over 30 years, CanadianLloyd Daser?is returning to his home country as General Manager of award-winning ski resorts,?Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside and Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre.?Lloyd brings to his new role a wealth of knowledge and experience, having managed both Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL hotels and resorts in Asia and North America. Most recently, he was Area Vice President of Operations, overseeing the Group?s hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Saigon and Yangon.

VIETNAM

Formerly General Manager of PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur,?Kenny Teo?has moved to Vietnam to take on the position of General Manager at the 186-room?PARKROYAL Saigon. An accomplished hotelier, Kenny has more than 25 years of experience in both hotel and serviced suites operations in London, Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia. After managing luxury serviced suites in Malaysia for the past 12 years, Kenny?s new appointment marks a new phase in his career which will see him take charge of full-service hotel operations.
