MT. TREMPER, NY – October 16, 2013 ? The award-winning Emerson Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the promotion of?Tony Lanza?to Chief Operations Officer, effective immediately. Lanza, who most recently served as the property?s Marketing Director, will continue to oversee all marketing and public relations efforts in addition to the Emerson?s day-to-day operations.

With more than 35 years of sales and marketing experience, Lanza has worked for some of the region?s top tourism destinations, including winter hot spot, Belleayre Mountain in Catskill Park, New York. As Superintendent of Belleayre, a position he held for over 10 years, Tony was responsible for more than doubling the destination?s annual visitors. He also helped increase annual sales from $1.7 million to $6.2 million.
An active member of the community, Lanza?s professional accolades can only be matched by his philanthropic efforts. Not only did he raise more than $100,000 for local charities during his tenure with Belleayre, but he was also honored by the New York Stock Exchange in 2006 for his work with wounded warriors and handicapped children. Other awards throughout his career include Delaware Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year, Spirit of Catskills Award 2004, as well as numerous nods from the New York State Senate and Governor?s Citation.
