Windstar schedules new cruises to southeast Asia, Arabia for 2014

Windstar Cruises?said it will make its debut in Southeast Asia and Arabia in 2014 on its new 212-passenger power yacht, Star Pride, which it is acquiring from Seabourn Cruise Line.

The new voyages open for sale Oct. 22 and feature five itineraries exclusive to the all-suite yacht, highlighting small ports throughout Asia, Arabia, and India. The inaugural Southeast Asia and Arabia season will begin on Oct. 30, 2014.?? Voyages start at $3,999 per person.

Star Pride?s 2015 Asia voyages include the following: ?Wonders of Arabia,? is an 18-day voyage from Athens to Dubai. Ports of call include the Suez Canal, Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh, Luxor, Aqaba, Salalah and Khasab. The voyage showcases the Red Sea, the Nile and Petra.

?Pearls of the Indian Ocean? sails past the Andaman Sea?s most exotic islands and bays and explores the colonial towns, ancient cave temples and melting pot cities on a 15-day voyage from Dubai to Singapore. Star Pride visits Mumbai, Mangalore, Cochin, Phuket and Penang.

?Singapore & the Malay Peninsula? is a 10-day round trip voyage from Singapore. The cruise visits Penang, Langkawi, Pulau Pangkor, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Phuket and Ko Yao Noi.

?Treasures of Southeast Asia? is a 14-day voyage from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City. It visits Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Qui Nhon, Da Nang, Hanoi (Haiphong), and Halong Bay, and ends in Hong Kong.

?Vietnam Unveiled? is a 10-day voyage from Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong. Ports of call include Nha Trang, Qui Nhon, Da Nang, Hanoi (Haiphong) and Halong Bay.

Launching in May 2014, the 212-passenger Star Pride is the first of three new power yachts to join Windstar?s fleet from Seabourn. The all-suite yacht will undergo several upgrades and changes in design and d?cor to align with Windstar?s casual contemporary style. Star Pride will showcase many signature Windstar experiences, including the line?s Sail Away party, yacht deck barbecue gala and Open Bridge policy.
