Fontainebleau Miami Beach names John Garland VP Finance

Fontainebleau Miami Beach announces the appointment of John Garland to the position of Vice President of Finance. In this position, John will direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the iconic 20-acre, 1,504-room oceanfront resort. Additionally, he will provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives and ensure professional and ethical financial practices across departments.

John brings more than 30 years of financial hospitality experience to the position, including 11 years working with Starwood Hotels and resort properties including Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida, The Westin Aruba Resort, The Westin/Sheraton Our Lucaya Resort on Grand Bahama Island, and The St. Regis Hotel in Aspen, Colorado. Most recently, John served as Vice President of Finance at Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas, where he played a crucial role in setting record property profitability in both the first and second years in his position. John earned his bachelor?s degree in business administration from California State University Fullerton.
