Driftwood Hospitality names new CFO

Driftwood Hospitality Management?has brought on a new CFO, the company said Wednesday.

Mark Odom, an 18-year veteran of the hospitality industry, will be responsible for the financial planning, recording and record-keeping of the North Palm Beach-based company’s portfolio of properties.

?Mark?s demonstrated track record as a successful CFO and hands-on business experience made him the perfect candidate to step into this important role on our management team,? Driftwood Hospitality President?David Buddemeyer?said in a news release. ?Mark has shown impressive financial leadership expertise in prior positions, and has a proven track record of managing transformation while driving financial discipline.?

Odom has served in a number of accounting positions, including director of finance at Casino Resource Corp. in Ocean Springs, Miss., and senior director of finance at Isle of Capri in Lula, Miss.

He was also previously director of finance for the?Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino?in Hollywood and CFO of?PGA National Resort & Spa?in Palm Beach Gardens.

Odom holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi, and is a certified public accountant.

Locally, Driftwood manages hotels in Miami and Sunrise, and has a third under construction in Miami. It has properties in 14 states, as well as Costa Rica.
