Kayla Lyons of Cherryville, NC has been appointed General Manager at Carolina Event & Conference Center (CECC) in Forest City, NC. The appointment was announced by Kristin Kurie, President of Charleston, SC-based The Wilderman Group that provides consulting services and operational oversight for the Carolina Event & Conference Center.
When making the announcement, Ms. Kurie noted that Kayla?s background and experience are the perfect fit for the role of General Manager at Carolina Event & Conference Center. Her most recent position included local and regional experience for meeting and event space management in North Carolina. In her new capacity, Kayla will represent Carolina Event & Conference Center to the local and regional community, including Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Hickory, Hendersonville, and Greenville/Spartanburg. She will promote the center as the ideal venue for weddings, meetings and special events and will manage the day-to-day operations of the facility to achieve the established financial targets for the center and will be responsible for preparing budgets, marketing strategies and managing expectations for the popular multi-use facility.
With a background in tradeshow and event management at the International Association of Exhibitions & Events and the Crowne Plaza Hotel & Conference Center in Orland, FL, Kayla has coordinated meetings and special events with menu development, audio visual requirements, and room layouts. Her sales and planning skills will help her in expanding existing business and develop new business opportunities through skilled relationship building.
